Fancy seeing what one of four possible scenarios for cities of the future could be? Welcome to Planned-opolis (hat tip to The Truth Seeker).
It seems the cities of the future will be 'tightly planned and controlled' and all food will be rationed via your 'calorie card'. The narrator of the story, Vee, exclaims at one point that it is easier to 'switch off your brain' with a 'mega computer' in charge. She also eagely awaits to see what job one of her children will get in the 'career announcements'. A visit to the supermarket sees her scoff at the idea of having meat because it's 'not your birthday'. One noteworthy point is that 'only rich people drive cars'. It seems that this 'planned and controlled' society will still have those wealthy enough to warrant being able to travel by car. Bizarrely, those who resist this nightmarish vision are sent to the 'Cry Freedom Ghettos' where presumably conditions are even worse than those portrayed in the video (if that's possible).

It should be of no surprise that all this comes courtesy of a British independent (of course it is) non profit organisation called 'The Forum For The Future'. The main driver of this need to 'help plan a better world' is, as you can guess, climate change (not global warming anymore). It seeks to work with 'some of the best-known brands in the world, including giants like PepsiCo, Vodafone and AkzoNobel (described as the world's largest global paints and coatings company and a leading producer of specialty chemicals)'.
Indeed a glance at some of the Forum's trustees sees many 'high flyers' from the corporate world as well as Jonathan Porritt who is also 'Co-Director of The Prince of Wales's Business and Environment Programme'. A look at the list of associates sees yet more people with links to Prince Charles as well as the WWF. One other of note is Charles Perry who 'was selected and trained by Al Gore to be one of his 1,000 Climate Project Presenters of “An Inconvenient Truth”. Words fail me.
Prince Charles plays a big role in the climate change induced 'sustainability' agenda that is a key element in the broader global governance project. It becomes easy to see why he is called the 'sustainable prince'. Anyone who doesn't think that the Royal Family are major players in the New World Order agenda is, I would claim, deluded.
Perhaps the driver of the car in the video is the chauffeur of the 92 year old King Charles driving his 'Highness' to some function or other. After all, it can't be easy being a 'Philosopher King'.
Holy crap - that's scary. These people are from another planet.
ReplyDeleteIt is isn't it. What baffles me is why they think anyone viewing that video would be anything other than deeply disturbed by the prospect.
ReplyDeleteLooks very similar to the nuclear attack warning film I saw multiple times in school during the supposed cold war and just as likely to become reality.
ReplyDeleteCoincidentally I recall being informed in secondary school that we were heading into a little ice age as well!
Just like clothes where fashions exist on a carousel just waiting for a new generation to 'discover' what the bold had had enough of, it's all circular.
William, you're right it is similar to the sort of films shown in school. I wouldn't mind betting that this is exactly where this will be shown eventually.
ReplyDeleteOh that's frightening. It's interesting how they got 'green' to mean crowded technologic cities with farms in parking garages. Sort of the way they inverted the meanings of 'peace' and 'freedom.'
ReplyDeleteI shudder to think what rubbish the other 3 "visions" promote. The whole thing is like a satire of itself.
ReplyDeleteLavender, England (as opposed to Britain) is, I think, one of the most densely populated countries on earth. Under the marketing tag of 'city living' there are more and more blocks of flats going up in and around all our major cities.
ReplyDeleteOf course this need for more accommodation is being largely driven by mass immigration, but that's another story.
As you point out you'd think that 'green living' would be somehow inclined to get us back in touch with nature much more. Parks, urban farms (not in multi-story car parks), wildlife corridors or even places to live with gardens. Sadly it seems more like the human equivalent of battery cages for chickens.
I cant help thinking this is a very British view, formed by people who have grown up in a recently fractured society on a small island, and despite modern mass communication technology, isolated not only physically by the seas around them but also by a typical island mentality. I sold up in the U.K a few years ago and live in a very rural part of a European country nearly 3 times the size of the entire U.K., with at least six ( forgive me for being imprecise ) other countries forming it's borders therefore over many centuries exposing it to other cultures from the north of Europe to the Mediteranian; where the norm is that people grow vegetables, keep chickens for eggs and ducks for meat, buy milk so fresh it is still warm from the udders of the cow and sterilise it on the cooker at home, live in communities which strongly interact with one another and it is considered rude not to be on more than just speaking terms with the neighbours and have a state which while very regulated is not intrusive in the way the U.K. legislature has been deliberatly changed by the last administration. What the film suggests is a very U.K. nightmare as first foretold by George Orwell. The percentage of GDP, if I am correct in what I have read, earned by U.K. agriculture is less than 3%, where I live it is a little more than 40%. These differences in culture are so vast as to make this film unthinkable over here, it would never get made, because this vision is so against the States view for it's citizens.
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree with Johnnyrvf. I don't see it as a very British view because the people who came up with this "vision" are not representative of the general population. I imagine most Brits would be horrified at having to live in such a place. It is, however, a very corporate view as seen in the Board of trustees current and prior interests in the business world.
ReplyDeleteI agree to the corporate view and as the banks and businesses get more power, these corporate trustees might think they can keep pushing the population, however in Holland and Germany there are exceptions to the smoking ban and Spain is going to fight it tooth and nail, debates have been televised and since the 2nd Jan people who are agaist the ban have acrued over 600.000 signatures on a serious petition. This is being given primetime by the Spanish media, which does not slavishly follow the govt. political line,. Likewise if this film was shown in schools, parents, teachers et all would soon be making a noise about it, there are far too many individuals in other European countries who will not let this sort of propagander pass; just because the U.K. citizen is being suffocated by it's arrogent and deconnected politicians does not mean elsewhere is the same.
ReplyDeleteIt's been noted elsewhere that EU legislation appears to be enforced much more stringently here in Britain than it does in much of the rest of Europe. As well as that we see much more 'gold plating' than the rest of Europe. This is where EU legislation is used as a convenient foil for adding in other legislation not contained in the original EU directives.
ReplyDeleteResearcher Alan Watt says that it is Britain (or rather the controlling British elite through the Crown) that is the driving force behind the European project and indeed the broader world government agenda. As such it's a testing ground for much of the agenda. He describes it as a 'flagship' and warns that what happens in Britain will eventually be coming the way of other countries.
Good luck to the Spanish. They'll need it.
Harry I am not so sure, History proves there has always been great rivalry between France and the U.K., indeed in reality France is the most influencial power in the European Union, ( whether Germany or the Crown like it or not ) and as I have commented before, a 3rd world France is NOT on the French political agenda, France is quite capable at standing up to Brussels as it proved last year over the Roma immigration situation and unlike the U.K. is not so broke it has to go to it's neighbours to sign deals to share military hardware. The behind the scenes manipulation of the Crown obviously assumes no shots will be fired, a very stupid assumption and France has a very much better equiped military than the U.K. with what could be described as a truly independent nuclear arsenal. When De Gaulle started bulding up France after the war, he said something along the lines of, let the world think France is a little country, we know otherwise but no one shall ever know are real strength. I believe the French authorities are well aware of the position of all the parties involved and unlike the U.K. are quite prepared to strike out if neccessary, even if the plans sometimes go awry, ( think Rainbow Warrior ).
ReplyDeleteJohnny, I don't really view the elites of the countries of Europe as acting in their own countries interests. They all seem only too eager to follow the agenda even if that is sometimes requires a degree of posturing to placate the natives.
ReplyDeleteWhen I made reference to the Crown being a driving force behind the EU it certainly wasn't in the context of being in Britain's interest. It's in theirs and theirs only.
